On Wednesday night, the eighth-grade Lady Geese volleyball team took on Cambridge in the regional semifinals.

In the first set, Cambridge started with the ball, but the Geese sprang into action and quickly took possession, taking an early 5-1 lead.

The game went back and forth for the next several rallies until Cambridge called a timeout. The Geese remained in the lead and never gave that up. They easily won the first set 25-15.

The Geese send the ball back over.

The second set saw the same momentum with the score going back and forth but remaining close at 14-12.

But from then on, the Geese, showing great defense with digs and blocks at the net, pulled away, winning the second set at 25-18.

The eighth grade Lady Geese will now play Thursday at 5:30 p.m. against Stark County in the regional championship.
