State Representative Travis Weaver is kicking off his 2025 Community Clean-Up Project, running from Tuesday, April 22, through Friday, May 16.

This annual initiative, led by Rep. Weaver, aims to raise environmental awareness by encouraging people to pick up and properly dispose of litter. Participants are encouraged to snap photos of themselves with the trash they collect to document their efforts.

Students need permission from a parent or guardian to choose a location for their clean-up. Those who fill a standard kitchen-size trash bag with litter can submit a photo to communitycleanup2025@reptravisweaver.org.

Everyone is welcome to join, and students who complete the project and send in a photo will receive a Certificate of Service from Rep. Weaver.

“The 2025 Community Clean-Up Project is a fun and creative way to keep our communities beautiful and thriving,” said Rep. Weaver. “By working together, we can make a lasting difference, protect our environment, and ensure a cleaner, healthier future for everyone.”

Rep. Weaver represents Illinois House District 93. For more details, contact the district office at 309-204-6514.
