
GENESEO – Dr. Chad Martens has joined the staff at Hammond-Henry Hospital’s Geneseo Clinic.
New patients may call 309-944-1275 for an appointment to see Dr. Martens.
The doctor joins Dr. Loren Soria, and APRNs Kati Grimes, Heidi Vorac and Elyse Wolf as the clinic’s family practice team.
“To best accommodate our increasing number of patients, especially in the Geneseo Clinic, we’ve been diligently looking for a physician that would best complement our already fantastic team,” said Wyatt Brieser, Hammond-Henry Hospital CEO. “We feel we have found that in Dr. Martens. Growing up in a small town (Erie), Dr. Martens expressed his desire to serve a community such as ours, and I believe he will be a very welcome addition to our staff.”
Dr. Marten’s medical specialties include family practice and specifically, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, comprehensive urgent care and a wide range of procedures including skin biopsies/excisions and joint injections.
Dr. Martens received his BA in pre-med from Augustana College, Rock Island. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago – Rockford Rural Medicine Education Program. He completed his family mjedicine esidency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Rockford Rural Training Tract at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, Dixon.
Dr. Martens completed his rotation at Hammond-Henry Hospital with Dr. Julie Brown.
“I have always liked the culture and work ethic of Hammond-Henry Hospital, and I am dedicated to bettering the health of this community,” said Dr. Martens, who was encouraged by his mother, a nurse, to go into the health field. “I care about the people who come to me, and I feel it’s a privilege to take care of them. There is nothing better as a physician than helping someone attain a positive outcome when they didn’t think that was possible. I’m excited about getting started.”
