Residents planning to take part in this year’s K‑Town Yard Sale have just one week left to get their listings on the map. The final day to place a yard sale ad is Thursday, April 23.
The second annual K‑Town Yard Sale will run Thursday through Saturday, April 30–May 2, giving shoppers three days to explore sales across Kewanee.

For a $20 donation to The Kewanee Voice, sellers can have their sale featured in the website’s Classifieds section and included on both the digital and printed maps distributed before the event. Advertising will help residents alert customers to their sale.
Each participant will also receive a yard sign to help advertise their sale.
Kewanee joins communities such as Geneseo, Annawan and Atkinson in hosting a citywide weekend sale. Last year’s event drew strong participation and crowds gathered Saturday for food trucks serving up local favorites.
This year, six food trucks are scheduled to roll in: Uncle Bud’s at Sutton & Associates Realty, Covenant BBQ, Top That, Aztecs in the B & B parking lot, Farmer’s Smoke BBQ at Save‑A‑Lot and Phatboys BBQ at Wiebler’s Harley‑Davidson.
To advertise a sale, residents can stop by the office at 121 N. Tremont St. to fill out a form, email metscavizj@gmail.com or donate through The Kewanee Voice website.
Ads, along with checks may also be mailed to P.O. Box 77, Kewanee. Be sure to include the days and hours of the sale, the address as well as a list of 10 items for sale and a contact phone number.
The deadline for map inclusion is April 23, and yard signs are available while supplies last. For more information, contact Janie Metscaviz at metscavizj@gmail.com or call 309‑489‑2721.
Let’s keep the K‑Town Yard Sale tradition going strong.
