GENESEO, Ill. — Paul Nolley, a candidate for Illinois’ 16th Congressional District, held a town hall meeting Tuesday at the Geneseo Public Library, drawing a crowd of more than 50 residents from across the political spectrum.

Attendees included Republicans, Democrats and Independents who gathered to hear Nolley discuss his campaign to unseat U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood.

LaHood, a member of the Republican Party, has represented the 16th District since 2023. He previously represented the 18th District from 2015-2023.

Nolley, who lives in Loves Park with his wife and two young daughters, emphasized the importance of open dialogue between elected officials and constituents.
