
The death of 39-year-old Catrelle Reed of Kewanee has been determined to be a homicide, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police.

The State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 2 East Moline Major Crimes “is investigating a Henry County homicide stemming from a missing person’s report where the victim was later found deceased,” the release said.
“On May 27, the Kewanee Police Department requested the assistance of state police special agents with a missing persons investigation. The victim, Catrelle Reed, was reported missing to the Kewanee Police Department,” the release said.
The release continued: “On May 30, Reed was found deceased on a property near the intersection of Highway 81 and East 2350th Street just west of Kewanee.
“On June 2, an autopsy revealed Reed’s death was a result of a homicide.”
