Kewanee High School hosted a four-school golf match at Baker Park.

Kewanee  competed against  Ridgewood, Annawan-Wethersfield and St. Bede. The Boilermakers shot a 191 with Owen Laue leading the way with a 44.

Other scores for Kewanee were Reid Nichols 45, Jack Anderson  50, Lincoln Throneburg 52, Liam Stevenson 59 and James McGarvey 54.

Their 191 earned them third place out of the four teams competing. Ridgewood placed first with a team score of 158, followed by St. Bede 169, Kewanee 191 and Annawan-Wethersfield 196.

This was the team’s second match of the year. The team has been consistent with scores of 191 in both of their matches thus far. 

“We will look to improve when we travel to Spring Creek next Tuesday for a three-team meet,” said KHS Coach Brett VanDeWoestyne.
