The Kewanee Boilermakers opened the 2025 cross country season Tuesday afternoon at the Rocket Run Invite in Rock Falls. 

On the boys side, Jason Rusk opened the season with a 18:46 performance on the three-mile course. Hunter Vancil finished close behind in 18:59 and sophomore Jordan Housley was the final Boiler in the boys race, breaking the 20-minute mark for the first time at 19:47. 

For the girls Jendayia Crowe finished her first race in a time of 23:01 followed by Esmerelda Martinez at 26:47. Tiffany Helton was the final girl running for the Boilers crossing the line at 35:26. 

The Boilers host a home meet Thursday at Chautauqua Park.
