The Kewanee High School Boiler Girls were in action Monday night and hosted the Monmouth-Roseville Titans. 

Kewanee won 46-41 thanks in large part to Mya Dearing’s 12 points and Demaris Diaz’s 13 rebounds. 

The Boiler Girls have won four of their last five games and will return to their home court on Friday night in Brockman Gym, hosting Hall with the tipoff at 7 p.m.

Other varsity scorers were Bailey VanWinkle with 7, Damaris Diaz with 9 and Tejiana Amos with 8.

The JV Boiler Girls were also victorious Monday night, winning 38-33 and moving to 5-0 on the year. 

Sophomore Audrey Clucas led the team with 20 points including four three-pointers. The JV squad will also be back in action in Brockman Gym on Friday night, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Other scorers for the JV team were Addison Yepsen with 8, Annie Campbell with 5 and Bailey VanWinkle with 5.
