The Kewanee Boiler Girls scored six runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Hall 11-0 on Tuesday. 

After singles by Kieryn Abernathy and Rylee Blades, and Audrey Clucas reaching base on a dropped third strike, the scoring opened with an Addison Yepsen sacrifice fly. 

The next three runs came off Dani Jo Currier’s triple to left field. The scoring ended with Clucas capitalizing on a passed ball, stealing home, and another sacrifice fly out by Remy Hicks, scoring Currier. 

Kewanee’s first three runs came in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI double to left field by Kieryn Abernathy. 

Lyric Duytschaver began as starting pitcher for the Boiler Girls. She gave up four hits and no runs over three innings, striking out none and walking none. 

Closing out the game was pitcher Kalleigh Gale, hurling two innings of no-run ball for Kewanee. In relief, she allowed one hit, striking out two and walking none.

Abernathy led Kewanee with three hits in three at-bats with Currier and Evelyn Schiltz each driving in two runs. 

The win moves Kewanee to 8-4 overall and 3-0 in conference play. 

The Boiler Girls will travel to Hall for their next game.
