Kewanee High School’s volleyball team opened their season Tuesday with a win over Ridgewood, 25-11, 25-20.

Individual stats for the Boiler Girls were:

Aleijah Willis: 1 dig

Aaliyah Duarte: 3 kills, 1 block, 5 service points, 1 ace, 2 digs

Avery Yepsen: 7 assists, 3 kills, 5 service points, 2 digs

Carmella Williams: 1 service point

Emma Ellenberger: 9 kills, 4 blocks, 5 service points, 3 aces

Jacie Hinton: 1 dig

Jillian Bennison: 7 service points, 2 digs, 1 kill

Macee Pickering: 5 assists, 3 service points, 1 ace, 1 dig

Marlee Bates: 3 digs

Taylor VanWinkle: 3 digs, 2 service points, 1 kills

Tejhiana Amos: 3 kills, 2 block

The Boiler Girls made it a clean sweep on the evening, with the sophomores winning 26-24, 25-10 and the freshmen earning 25-18, 25-16 victories.
