The Kewanee Knights of Columbus, Santa Maria Council #734, recently presented a check in the amount of $2,318.08 to Abilities Plus clients.

The donation comes from proceeds from the organization’s annual fall tootsie roll drive, which clients from Abilities Plus assisted with.

The Knights of Columbus is a global Catholic fraternal service order founded in 1882, with the mission to offer financial aid and assistance to members and families in need. The annual fall tootsie roll drive is the Knights of Columbus’ largest charitable fundraising campaign with the goal to benefit children and adults with special needs.

A spokesperson for Abilities Plus said the generous donations from the tootsie roll drive are “very much appreciated.”
