Annawan-Wethersfield’s boys and girls golf teams competed Tuesday in a match at Midland Country Club.

The Titans boys team placed third with a score of 192. A-W’s Seth Morre and Dayton Hendrix led the way, each shooting 44. Other scores were Drew Wise 49 and Caleb McGill 55.

Galva placed fourth with a team score of 207. MJ Louck was their leading scorer with 49, followed by Braden Murphy, 52, and JP Sloan and John Ingles with 53 each.

Brimfield and United tied for the low team score, each shooting 184. Brimfield was the winner based on their number-five golfer shooting a lower score than United’s.

The Annawan-Wethersfield girls came in second to Brimfield by just two strokes.

Paced by match medalist Elizabeth McGill, the Lady Titans totaled 222 strokes, just two more than Brimfield’s 220.

Other A-W scores were Laylah Kraft and Katie Attig, 57 apiece; and Traiden Hier, 60.

Galva High was also entered, but had only one golfer, Tori Conner, who shot 72.
